Fidabio is a company that provides a biophysics technology platform called FIDA, which enables researchers to measure various biophysical properties of molecules, such as size, affinity, and kinetics, in a label-free and in-solution manner. The FIDA technology allows for the direct measurement of the hydrodynamic radius of molecules, as well as the assessment of binding interactions and affinity constants, using minimal sample amounts and without the need for surface immobilization. The company offers an instrument, the Fida 1, which is designed to be user-friendly and provides automated and high-throughput measurements, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, including protein characterization, nanoparticle analysis, and small molecule screening.
Tools for protein characterization are in constant development. One of the newest and most exiting tools is the Fida 1 analyzer from Fida Biosystems, which enables measurement of both tertiary structures and binding affinities of biomolecules and multi-component complexes ranging from 0,3 to 1000 nm in size. The in-solution measurement is buffer independent and can be performed in under native conditions without any requirement for immobilization.
Our Fida 1 instrument is advancing customer's research within Conformational Changes, Oligomeric State Analysis, Membrane Proteins, Targeted Protein Degradation, Nanoparticles, Fibrils, Liquid-Liquid Phase Separations and much more.
The core measurement of the FIDA technology, or Flow-Induced-Dispersion- Analysis, is a measure of biomolecular size in nanometers. The readout is more accurate than any other biophysical technology, and can measure in crude matrices like Serum/Plasma, Cell Lysate and Fermentation Media.
