Laborservice Onken GmbH is a company that specializes in amino acid analysis, specifically using the classical method of Stein & Moore and cation exchange chromatography. Founded in 1997 Laborservice Onken GmbH is a young enterprise dedicated totally to amino acid analyses, consisting of a staff with decades of experience in this field.

Our origin is the well-known Biotronik GmbH, Maintal, Germany. Insiders know that Biotronik has been purchased by Eppendorf AG, to which it belonged for almost 10 years. In the year 2000 Eppendorf sold the Biotronik business to the British company Biochrom Ltd. in Cambridge. Biochrom Ltd. is the production company that developed the amino acid analysers that have been marketed by Pharmacia (LKB).

Since February 2002 Biochrom Ltd and Laborservice Onken GmbH co-operate, for the benefit of the amino acid analyser users, mainly in the German speaking countries. Laborservice Onken officially supports all "Biotronik" customers world-wide, and all Biotronik and Biochrom customers in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. Since 2008 also for Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.

Most important for all of us is, to provide all users of Eppendorf/Biotronik and Biochrom amino acid analysers not only with high quality service, but also with support and consultation in every question concerning amino acid analysis, and amino acid analysers now and in the future.
