The company Süd-Laborbedarf: Even the company name says where we are from, namely from the south of Munich. This is where "Quality for Your Laboratory" has been coming from since 1981. We have always remained true to this motto and supply you with selected products for the biochemical, molecular biological or genetic laboratory. The beginning As early as 1975, the biochemist Dipl.-Ing. Roman Müllner had successfully introduced American pipettes for the laboratory market as marketing and sales manager in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. After six years of work, he founded his own company Süd-Laborbedarf GmbH based in Gauting, in the south of Munich. Süd-Laborbedarf GmbH in Gauting, now known by the abbreviation SLG, was entered in the Munich Commercial Register in 1981. His first representative office for Germany was the Japanese pipette manufacturer Nichiryo. In addition, there were the matching tips of the own brand SLG, i.e. German tips on Japanese pipettes, whereby the cone of the pipette was precisely adapted to the SLG tips. This customer-friendly principle has also been retained for the pipettes of the protected own brand SL-Pette. Of course, all pipettes are delivered with a calibration certificate and comply with the EU standard. Expansion of the product range Of course, a lot has happened since 1981 and, in addition to liquid handling products, you will now find many other interesting products and brands in the range. The pipettes were supplemented by consumables and disposables for molecular biology, from the Hi Yield RNA and DNA isolation kits to plastic items for PCR. Innovative and extraordinary items such as the somewhat different pipette Charlotte are only available at Süd-Laborbedarf. In addition, over the years, various consumables, dispensing aids, complete kits and precision injectors from America have been added, all specially designed for biochemical and molecular biology research. We are particularly successful with laboratory gloves from our well-known SafeGrip brand made of nitrile and natural latex, which are manufactured according to particularly strict SLG quality standards especially for molecular biology laboratories. After all, in the demanding German-speaking world, only reliable products of the highest quality are successful in the long run. The complete quality management of Süd-Laborbedarf GmbH is certified according to ISO 9001:2008. SLG's range now includes a wide variety of glove types. After all, not all gloves are the same: a medical examination glove, for example, which is only worn for a few minutes, has little contact with the skin. Sweating and wearing comfort are less important. Our SafeGrip gloves for the laboratory, on the other hand, are high-quality products of the highest possible quality and design. They are manufactured according to our specifications in Malaysia. In addition to strict ongoing quality control during production, every single batch of SafeGrip gloves is verified by the independent Swiss testing company SGS, an institution similar to TÜV. Our future All private labels are legally protected trademarks of Süd-Laborbedarf GmbH and are so successful that they now represent the majority of sales. These include the SafeGrip and NitriSoft laboratory gloves, SLG consumables, shakers and mixers, as well as SL-Pette pipettes and SL-Tip tips. For several years now, the DNA and RNA purification kits of our Hi Yield brand have also been very successful. For about 15 years, we have therefore focused more on the identity of our own brands, which has ultimately led to more growth. SLG currently sells about 1500 different items via mail order with 6 employees today. Small companies like us have the advantage of being able to react quickly and flexibly to customer requests. Orders that arrive by 14 p.m. are usually shipped the same day and are usually delivered to the customer the next day, even for the smallest orders. We do not have a minimum order value: we see our function as an intermediary between the manufacturer and the end customer, directly. We see this and the high quality of our customer service and SLG products as well as their strict control as our main task. Our impressive sales growth and high customer satisfaction show us again and again that we are on the right track. Education and training is very important to us. Since 1984, we have been a training company registered with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, which also takes on its trainees if possible and if suitable. Our product range is also constantly being expanded and new suppliers are taken into account as well as a constant expansion of our own brands SLG, SafeGrip, NitriSoft, NitriSense®, SL-Pette, SL-Tip and Hi Yield.
