PROGEN Biotechnik GmbH, based in Heidelberg, Germany, was founded in 1983 as a spin-off from the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) and Heidelberg University, and develops and manufactures antibodies, ELISA kits, and other reagents for cell and molecular biology research. The company has been an independent, family- and employee-owned German biotech reagent manufacturer since 2012 and supplies research reagents to laboratories worldwide from its Heidelberg facility.
